Friday, we took advantage of a gorgeous day and some vacation time and headed down to Saratoga. If you have a true upstate accent, you say it more like "Saratoooga." It's not racing season, so the city was really very quiet. There are some fantastic old houses and other buildings that make just walking around a lot of fun.
This is Congress park, near the center of the city. We took a little break and the kids found things to play with.
In the bottom left-hand corner of the picture of Isaac and Ian, you can see why they're standing so pensively together: a killer ninja duck was on the prowl. Gwen had no fear of the killer ninja duck, though.

So true about the true upstate New Yorker thing. We still don't feel cool enough to say "Northway" and rather refer to it as the freeway.
Your pictures ares always so gorgeous! What camera do you use? Also, we have some killer-ninja-duck phobias in our family too. Also killer-ninja-bees and killer-ninja-cats. You never know when a killer ninja might show up, so it pays to be prepared!
