Fourth of July

Our neighbors, the Carpenters, invited us and a few other families to camp on the Battenkill with them over fourth of July. We tubed down the river a few times, caught some of the numerous fireflies, ate lots of roasted marshmallows and played in the brook that fed into the river for hours on end.

The Daddies had a great time playing in the brook too. They built a dam that eventually turned into a mini waterslide for the kids.

The kids did great and slept surprisingly well. I can't say the same for Dan or I, but I can say that we did have a great time and would do it again.

Nothing really beats fireflies and marshmallows. I'm trying to think of something . . . but nothing.
