Catching Up

Let's see, We've had Halloween, two birthdays (Isaac and Dad), and now Thanksgiving. What can I say? Life is busy. Here are pictures to prove it.

For Halloween, Isaac and Hannah chose to be their respective Webkinz stuffed animals. Ian was King Boo from Mario Kart, and Gwen was a lion. All four kids have been that same lion, which means that Meridith's time on that costume was well spent.

Not pictured is the new sound system we hooked up, Isaac starting piano lessons (he hasn't cried about practicing yet!), and heading down the home stretch on the remodel of the piano room. I'm starting a separate blog to document that remodel - check it out at:

Isaac had a super-hero-themed birthday party. We (that being the royal we, as Meridith did most of the work) cut out capes and shapes of lightning bolts, clouds, hammers, etc. out of felt and let Isaac and his friends decorate their own superhero cape.

Little do they know that the cape is no longer an accepted part of superhero outfits, which we learned from The Incredibles.

Just to prove that Gwen is, in fact, just plain crazy.

Ian is showing off his Thanksgiving apple turkey. Fortunately, the real turkey was much larger, juicier, saltier, meatier, and not sour.
